Almost a year ago, Banksy took to the streets of New York and turned the entire city into an art gallery, documenting the experience on Instagram. Now, Ray Mock has created a book documenting it all.
Banksy’s exhibition was controversial with some expanding on his art and others embracing it. One thing’s for sure, it got people talking. Not only did Banksy create one of pieces, as is his trademark, part of his exhibition involved selling Banksy originals without the buying public knowing that they were originals and installations that were thought provoking with a soft facade.
The book is published by Carnage and Mock has been documenting graffiti around the world for years. The book feature 120 pages. The Banksy book is limited to 2,000 copies, costing $35 and around half the copies have gone, so act quick if you want a copy.
“Banksy in New York” by writer and photographer Ray Mock is the ultimate companion to Banksy’s month-long project on the streets of New York in October, 2013.
